Alaska's Good Friday earthquake, March 27, 1964; a preliminary geologic evaluation / by Arthur Grantz, George Plafker, and Reuben Kachadoorian.
This report is based on a reconnaissance made between March 29 and April 9, primarily to obtain firsthand information upon which to plan emergency studies that might aid in reconstruction of the earthquake-damaged areas. More detailed follow-up investigations of the geologic aspects of the earthquake and the damage it caused are planned.
