Gravity survey and regional geology of the Prince William Sound epicentral region, Alaska

Summary: Following the Alaska earthquake of 1964, the U.S.G.S. made an intensive investigation of the effects of the earthquake in the Prince William Sound region where the epicenter was located. Concurrent investigations included studies of the regional geology, changes of land level, faulting, and effects of waves on shorelines. At the same time, this gravity survey was conducted in order to establish the regional geologic and tectonic setting of the earthquake.
