Going Vertical aka Three Seconds is a sports drama about the 1972 Olympic basketball tournament. In 1970 The Soviet National basketball team hires a new coach, Vladimir Garanzhin, who had previously coached the Lenigrad BC Spartak team. During a press conference, Garanzhin states he will be the United States in the upcoming Olympic games in Munich. To prepare for the Olympics, Garazhin changes the line up of the team to feature other players from other clubs across Russia. Following the terrorist attacks at the Olympics, there comes the long awaited match between Russia and the United States in the basketball finals. Both teams are undefeated and the outcome of the game will decided in the last three seconds.
