Man Flow Yoga founder Pohlman's book, well-presented with color photographs on nearly every page, opens with a comprehensive introduction that explains the benefits and dispels common misconceptions about yoga. More than 100 pages are devoted to postures, with descriptions of the areas of the body targeted, health/fitness perks, step-by-step instructions, modifications, and "pro tips." "Restorative," "Restorative and Strengthening," and "Strengthening" workout suggestions are designed to address various health issues and are accompanied by brief instructions for poses, making this volume best for beginners in conjunction with videos or in-class instruction. As with most works on this subject, the model is an advanced practitioner and thus able to perform positions mere mortals may find difficult.
